The Finance team is part of the Finance & Operational Risk Control department. The Finance team is the specialist for financial and management accounting, and governs the information infrastructure to support this. They cover a broad range of finance issues related to financial and management reporting, capital accounting and fiscal accounting. They govern and advise regarding the financial data and information structure to support all global reporting requirements.

Objectives for the Finance team are:

•Governance and advice on the financial and management accounting framework to facilitate optimisation of accounting, capital and fiscal requirements.

•Control the Standard General ledger and Financial Data Warehouse to facilitate and optimise global and local accounting and reporting requirements.

•Performance of controls and administration for financial and management accounting regarding Head Office accounts.

•Advise and support function for Managing Board (MB) regions, business lines and HO.

This role as Financial Controller for global and regional financial, fiscal, capital and management accounting.

You will be responsible for:

•Structuring and embedding knowledge within Finance and Control.

•Providing governance and advise to MB, the CFRO and regional CFRO’s and their teams, regarding application and use of this knowledge.

•Being the walking advert of finance values and working closely together with the senior financial advisor.

•Acting as a motivator and consultant for the business, regarding financial and management accounting matters.

•Operating in direct contact with key players from Control, as well as CFRO’s, business and suppliers.

You will ideally have:

•Hands on fiscal and transfer pricing experience to make a head start.

•Experience in the wholesale banking industry, IFRS, (inter)national fiscal accounting, and capital management.

•A financial and management accounting background.

•A minimum of 3 years experience in financial accounting and banking.

•The ability to understand and work in multicultural contexts.

•The ability to act as an financial advisor consultant bases on financial knowledge and best practices.

Further you are fluent in English and preferably in Dutch, both verbal and written. You will be able to travel world wide on an occasional basis. You are organization sensitive, highly professional, and a hands-on practical individual with good inter-personal skills.

The financial controller will be assisted in the structuring and embedding of financial and management accounting by the finance team.
