Our client is a leading asset management institution with a global presence.

The Opportunity: The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and monitoring implementation of compliance policies and procedures that are conducive to a positive compliance culture. You will ensure an effective compliance infrastructure is established to support company’s Retail business. He/she will identify key compliance risks and monitor the company’s operations to ensure compliance with relevant laws, rules and regulations. This will include the conduct of an appropriate compliance verification program, as well as ensuring compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements. He/she will also monitor developments in the regulatory environment and in the company’s activity to keep management advised on compliance issues, particularly in the development of new services, products, business activities. Provide practical solutions to resolve compliance issues. He/she will provide management and operating units with support during regulatory reviews. He/she will liaise with the offshore team and Front Office Admin teams in providing outstanding customer service to internal and external clients. He/she will generate and deliver compliance reporting to management and clients. The Requirements:

  • He/She must be a graduate in Legal Studies/Commerce/Finance and a professional designation in either law or accounting/auditing
  • He/She must have prior experience with consulting in regulatory compliance, public accounting or regulatory agencies would be an asset
  • He/She must have at least 5 to 7 years of experience in the planning and operation of regulatory compliance and/or compliance auditing programs within the asset management industry of which at least two years should be in a supervisory/managerial capacity
  • He/She must have ability to relate information technology risks to compliance, business and operational activities
  • He/She must have excellent communication / drafting skills in English and Chinese, written and verbal
