A top-tier investment bank is looking for a strong developer to work on their real-time tick data capture system as part of a massive trading platform.

The application offers intraday summaries of trading activity, historical analysis, and a statistical database. It also includes a service layer and API for other applications throughout the company. It also requires light support, because the tick system interfaces with so many other products.

The group includes developers on three continents, and offers trading on multiple exchanges and asset classes. It works with every branch of the company that trades to ensure fast execution and consistent reporting. In addition, the trading platform offers back-testing and other performance metrics.

Required experience:

• Front Office experience across any asset classes
• Prior development of real-time and/or historical tick data applications in both a structured and RAD environment with knowledge of:
• Exposure to enterprise messaging, ideally:
• Market Data Content and associated APIs such as TIB RV.
• UNIX

Suggested experience:

• K / Kdb / Q / Kdb+
• Java
• C / C++
• SOAP
• Perl, Korn-shell scripting
