Risk Analyst required by top tier Asset Management firm in the heart of the City.
This Asset Management firm is looking for a Risk Analyst with strong investment management experience. This role reqiures an independent and challenge-hungry candidate that can work well across teams at all levels. You would be potentially joining a prestigious Asset Management firm that needs people to hit the ground running.

The Risk Analyst will work with the Compliance and Operational staff to ensure that mandated restrictions and regulatory data is agreed for every client and correctly interpreted and captured within the firms portfolio control system. This will include verification of rules and a high level of interaction with Legal and external Counsel to approve guidelines. This will include recommending and agreeing appropriate controls with Portfolio Control and Investors to cover non-programmable guideline restrictions. In addition the Risk Analyst will ensure:

  • The maintenance of the database for guideline management system.
  • The implementation of risk management controls locally to reduce the occurrence of guideline breaches.
  • Tracking of Helpdesk Calls to ensure the appropriate escalation of IT issues and the thorough analysis of other Compliance Unit supporting data.

Effective dialogue must also be maintained with:
  • Compliance
  • Investors and Sales Managers
  • Transition Team
  • Portfolio Controllers
  • Operational & Compliance staff

The Risk Analyst will be responsible for:
  • The implementation of risk management controls locally to ensure changes to client agreements are sanctioned by authorised personnel.
  • The individual will be responsible for the implementation of regulatory rules into the portfolio control system and the annual audit programme for these rules.

    The successful candidate will contribute to the breach monitoring and reporting procedures for regulated funds to reduce the occurrence of guideline breaches and to ensure that all new fails reported are reviewed immediately.

    The Risk Analyst will be responsible for the development of global guideline restrictions review process to be conducted on an annual basis. This process will ensure that the client-mandated restrictions are consistent with the client’s investment model and objectives.
