Global Investment Bank looking to add a Commodity Quantitative Risk Manager.
The role will manage a small group of people in Commodities Risk Management and work closely with Controllers and IT professionals supporting the Commodities business. The position partners with Traders, Trading Heads and Senior Management.

This key position is part of an integrated Risk team managing Market Risk for the Commodities Business and Firmwide Risk Management. As a Commodities Monitor, this Officer deals with trading businesses and provides active support to decision-makers in both the Business and Firm Management.

Responsibilities and exposures include: Understanding the risk exposures, products, strategies, and revenues risk oversight, control, assessment and coordination; Maintain the integrity of primary risk metrics, identify and resolve (& pro-actively heading off) issues with risk representation, systems, etc.; Provide risk transparency, measurement, analysis, and view/judgment/advice/ to both senior management and business unit management, to include assessing/improving business risk-return grow/build/develop people, tools, relationships, systems. The position sits on trading floor.

Qualifications for this role include: Advanced degree in a financial or quantitative discipline 3-5 years of relevant experience in risk management, trading or a related field; Knowledge of Commodity markets and products; Strong analytical and financial modeling skills; ability to synthesize complex data, ability to work with initiative in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment; familiarity with risk management systems and control processes; Strong desire to troubleshoot problems and improve complex processes; Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
