Our client, a major investment bank in Hong Kong, is now seeking suitable candidates with high calibre to join them as Interest Rate Currency Controllers - Manager/Senior Manager.

Function and Role: HK FID Interest Rate and Currency product controller.

-Review reported p/l, write up market and pnl commentaries to senior management.

-Report balance sheet numbers to BU and help the desk to manage.

-Setting guidelines and procedures of day to day controls and reporting.

-Review complex trades.

-Month end general close for both P/L and B/S.

-Review and consolidate monthly mark review package. Discuss with traders on results, methodologies and valuation adjustments.

-Assist the trading desk on new product approval process, coordinating with other groups such as valuation risk group, operations, IT, regulatory controllers, market risk department etc.

-Assist trading desk on new market initiatives by working closely with other groups.

-Ensure HK Interest rates group trading desk financials are in line with global/local accounting standards.

-Involvement in regional adhoc projects for product controllers area.

Skills required:

- English necessary, Chinese is preferred but not necessary

- PC Skills: Excel, Access

- Interest rate derivatives product knowledge.

- Strong motivation to learn and understand desk’s business.

- Strong problem solving skills

- Microsoft excel knowledge

– End user level visual basic required.

- Eye for detail, with an ability to handle several tasks concurrently.

- Good time management skills with ability to meet tight deadlines

- Work and communicate effectively with trading desk and counterparts in other locations.

- Be a team player.

- Be flexible and self motivated

- Have ownership mentality
