C# Market Data Developer for a leading hedge fund!

Exciting alternative investment firm, located in the Chicago, IL area, is seeking a Market Data Developer to join their growing staff. You will be responsible for writing and maintaining state- of-the-art market data and feed software in a C# .NET perl environment. You may also be called upon to write C++ LINUX code as well. This is a dynamic environment, and you will work very closely with traders and other IT professionals. The goal of your work will be to develop extremely reliable, low-latency data feeds for highly advanced electronic trading systems.

This job requires:

- Experience with database technology; proficiency in SQL

- 2-3 years experience in C# or C++ in the Microsoft environment

- Familiarity with PERL a huge plus

- Experience in financial industry required (specific experience in the market data area a plus)
