Financial Institutions department is looking for a Relationship Manager who will focus on clients located in Luxembourg.
2. Responsibilities
Developing, maintaining, locating and forging relationships with financial institutions, mainly banks with the aim of ensuring the satisfaction of your FI clients and optimising short and long-term profitability for the ING group.
This post will require you to :
- understand the business, needs and sensitivities of the client;
- propose suitable products and services;
- oversee the implementation of your commercial propositions;
- respond quickly and in a transparent way to questions from both internal and external clients;
- describe and present requests and/or credit proposals and convince internal decision-makers;
- manage counterparty credit limits;
- maintain extensive contacts with colleagues throughout the ING group (especially FI colleagues woldwide).
3. Organisational Context
Within the Wholesale activities, Financial Institutions is responsible for the development of relationships with our banking and parabanking clients as well as with insurance companies. With its domestic and international network of account managers and product specialists, Financial Institutions offers a wide range of dedicated and high value added products that perfectly fit to the needs of its specific clients, as well in the domain of credits, investments, insurances as for other products and structured services.
4. Skills and experience
- University degree / higher vocational education diploma in an economics-related subject.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in the banking sector (account manager and/or foreign trade, PCMA…). A good knowledge of the banking products (Financial Markets, payments, custody, structured lending, etc) is important.
- You must have an excellent command of English and French or Dutch. German would be a plus.
5. Personal profile
- You must be a good communicator with a high level of commercial acumen, and must be both critical and adaptable in your approach.
- You must be able to work autonomously.
- You must also be prepared to very regularly travel to Luxembourg.
The work location is Brussels.
