This new role will require the incumbent to head & own the design, management and optimization of all Treasury/Tax/Legal/Insurance strategies and activities for the Group, maximizing the net benefit (less costs) with the lowest enterprise wide risk for the entire Group.
You will lead a team to design, implement, manage and optimize all strategies and processes for Treasury, Tax, Legal and Insurance functions for the Headquarters and all its subsidiaries, manage and maximize cashflow & lower AR/DSO while supporting business growth objective as well as manage banking relationship and funding requirements/remittance of subsidiaries. Your team’s accountability will also include maximizing Net non-operating income, currency management including FX translation reserves on balance sheet, designing Tax strategies, implementing and managing legal entity structure, buy/sell transactions, transfer pricing and other tax related activities as well as dealing with queries from local/regional tax authorities.
You will also design and evolve a legal support model, provide preventive and proactive support as well as build controls & ensure appropriate training are given to field teams to minimize legal exposures. Supporting business needs in large deal structuring review, managing any legal actions balancing costs and potential benefits as well as pro-actively managing insurances and risk mitigation options to ensure assets/revenue/income are protected and enterprise wide business risk mitigated, are part & parcel of your responsibilities.
In addition, you will give recommendations and execute on dividend policy & share buyback, account for share options & performance share plans as well as liaise with JV & JV partners on investment & joint ventures.
Skills Requirements
You must possess at least a degree in accountancy and a professional accounting qualification, e.g. ACA or CPA, preferably with a Treasury qualification such as a ACT, with a minimum of 8 years’ working experience in corporate treasury function (either in MNCs or financial institutions). Strong knowledge of SGX listing requirements/compliance is required.
Person Requirements
You must also be technically strong with first class relationship building and management skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and previous experience of successfully collaborating with a wide range of non-finance leaders.
