New York based well-funded and rapidly growing start-up firm with a proprietary off-exchange trading platform is seeking a senior executive for Chief Operations Officer / President.
The Company has less than 50 employees and requires a strong operator to manage the multi-faceted aspects of the Company’s infrastructure as it relates to: exchanges and clearing houses, risk management, regulatory/broker-dealer and competitive threats. The candidate will have the ability to play an integral role in the development and design of corporate policies for a growing company. Ground floor opportunity for a senior executive to apply his/her experience gained within large institutions to developing and managing the infrastructure of a growing company.

Responsibilities will include:
• Daily management of entire employee base
• Business strategy and tactical execution
• Coordinate all workflow related to product support, front-office and back-office
• Manage certain external relationships with clearing firms, exchanges and regulatory organization
• Oversee all requirements related to systems and reporting
• Drive operational and process efficiencies in the organization
• Leverage domain expertise to contribute to product development and manage competitive threats
• Oversee controller function in organization (prior to the hire of full-time CFO)
• Coordinate HR function (prior to hire of a full-time CFO)

Position requirements include:
• >15 years in the financial markets with an expertise in electronic trading platforms, preferably dark liquidity pools
• Significant management and leadership experience
• Demonstrated ability and track record to manage P/L and create enterprise value in an organization
• Experience should include a midsized, fast growing company (or stand-alone division)
• Familiarity with the complexities of the derivatives markets, particularly equity options
• Strong rolodex and references


Company will be offering a competitive base compensation (min 350K) and bonus opportunity with equity upside participation in the Company.
