Candidates must possess superlative intellectual ability and excellent management, organizational, and communication skills. Previous on-campus recruiting or successful managerial experience at a top-tier organization is required. The D. E. Shaw group makes every effort to identify and attract the strongest candidates in the world for all positions; the successful candidate will supervise the on-campus recruiting group which supports this endeavor. The on-campus group is responsible for planning and managing recruiting events at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as building the firm’s presence at approximately 25 schools.
