Exciting opportunity to join the Investment area of leading European Investment Manager. Our client is active across a number of asset classes and investment strategies and requires an experienced individual to join their team of Investment Analysts.

This is an ideal opportunity to join an established team as it embarks on a new growth phase for the company. The key objectives of the role is to assist, through manager and target fund selections to meet the commercial objectives and performance targets of established Manager of Manager and Fund of Funds products. A broad understanding of investment markets dynamics, portfolio management styles and investment strategies is required as is the ability to represent the company at a senior level in discussions with existing and prospective Target Fund and segregated mandate, Managers.

The Ideal Candidate

• Minimum 3 years relevant work experience either in a similar role or possibly from a pure asset management or investment consulting background
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to effectively represent the company in meeting with global portfolio managers and market professionals.
• Analytical background with 3rd level qualification in statistics or business discipline and/ or professional training such as CFA examinations.
• Strong information technology skills (Excel, Access) with the ability to create automated solutions for ongoing business requirements. The ability to work directly with visual basic a distinct advantage as is familiarity and knowledge of industry standard information systems (Bloomberg, Reuters, Morningstar etc)
• Numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail a pre-requisite as is the ability to work to deadlines in a team based environment
• Native English speaker, Italian an advantage but not a requirement
