Lead the confirmations team for all North American traded OTC derivatives within a leading investment firm.
Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train, and manage the team responsible for all daily functions related to the confirmations process
  • Resolve trade disputes and help proactively manage processes to support business growth.
  • Provide business expertise on functional and process requirements
  • Partner with Portfolio managers to proactively manage the risk associated with OTC derivatives confirms.
  • Participation with key industry and market bodies including SwapsWire, DTCC and T-Zero.
  • Represent the group while working with the wider operations team and technology areas

Requirements:

  • 10+ years proven operational leadership experience in a derivatives role in investment banking, a hedge fund, or investment manager.
  • Thorough understanding of derivatives and the end-to-end transaction lifecycle.
  • Track record of successful delivery and experience building strong partnerships with internal and external groups.
  • Prior experience within derivative confirmations across a range of asset classes preferable.
  • Knowledge legal and regulatory issues relating to derivatives.
  • Knowledge Swaps Wire, DTCC and/or T-Zero
