Provide support to the New Instruments Committee (NIC) in the Americas. The group is responsible for assigning baskets to hybrids as well as addressing any policy issus that arise in hybrid analysis, mostly drive by questions from external constituencies. Key projects include hybrid notching, the hybrid data base, and the analytical framework for deeply speculative issuers.
- For the Americas, analyze hybrid structures for live deals, already outstanding hybrids, and new products.
- Interact with analysts internally and with major players in the hybrid market.
- Present topics for discussion with the NIC on an 'as needed' basis.
- Provide high-quality first drafts of special comments on relevant topics.
- Support hybrid data base.
- Give training and conference presentations from time-to-time.
Qualifications:
- MBA in finance is preferred, although a bright BSBA in finance will also be considered.
- At least 3 years corporate finance experience.
- Ability to work with PowerPoint presentations and EXCEL spreadsheets.
- Strong verbal and written skills are a must.
- Ability to work with a broad range of people both inside and outside Moody's.
- Some knowledge of complex structures and products is a must.
