Job Description:

This exciting and challenging opportunity for a Quality Assurance Lead is located in our White Plains, NY office.

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer with leadership/management experience to supervise and provide technical guidance to the QA staff in the analysis, design and execution of effective Quality Assurance audits, processes and procedures. Responsibilities will include:

• Supervise, guide and provide technical support and training to the QA staff
• Hire, train and develop staff. Coach, guide and conduct annual appraisals.
• Assist in the development of overall QA plans and timetables
• Lead the staff in the preparation and acceptance testing of new or revised applications and systems.
• Supervises the staff in the analysis, design and implementation of new or modified QA procedures and standards.
• Develop QA metrics for assessing the quality of developed applications.
• Provide technical expertise to clients, management and staff regarding the design and implementation of quality software and systems.
• Participate in the development of a consistent testing methodology and environment.
• Act as project manager for major QA projects
• Work closely with development teams, and foster team environment

This is a very hands on position - you will truly be a working manager!

Qualifications:

Our ideal candidates is a recognized leader with outstanding managerial skills and who has:

• BA in CS or related, plus 4 yrs experience in quality assurance and systems analysis programming, OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Proven project management skills
• Excellent analytical ability, communications and strong judgment and the ability to work effectively with clients, management and staff.
• Strong QA methodologies and best practices
• Automation tools (WEB and Console)
• Very familiar with UNIX or Linux environments
• PERL, C, C++ or UNIX Shell Scripting
• IP Protocols (UDP, TCP/IP, Multicast)
