Investment Banking Operations: IB Operations is a dynamic and diverse division that ensures trades are settled in a timely, cost efficient manner, that risk is minimized and that the client experience is a pleasant one. Spread across multiple product areas (Derivatives, Securities, Global Finance & Foreign Exchange Operations, Loans, Trust and Securities, as well as cross functional entities) IB Operations strives to do things smarter, faster and more effectively. It meets the technical and operational challenges of processing transactions worth hundreds of billions of Euros every day, across multiple time zones in all the major currencies and markets.

Job Description:

• Responsible for processing incoming and outgoing domestic and international Fixed Income money difference claims.

• Read and respond in a timely manner to emails from Clients regarding incoming claims on New York trades; • Investigate claims on money differences, pair-off differences and TBAs.

• Perform various reconciliations against cash /FNMA/BONY/Pair-off & Redemption accounts.

• Reconcile open items in ICI.

• Contact counterparties with results of claims investigations and make payments/claim monies if appropriate.

• Review and net accounts where appropriate.

• For outgoing claims on New York trades, set up claim letter and send to client.

• Receive and process incoming monies on customer exception claims.

• Track and enter updates on claims into the respective system.

• Maintain Excel spreadsheet file containing claims data and status

Skills Required:

• The applicant must have at least 2 years banking or brokerage experience as well as knowledge of the US Stock Market.

• Understand how funds move; the applications required to wire funds; and the controls required when sending/receiving funds.

• Strong Balancing and reconciliation skills.

• Extremely strong communication skills required due to client (internal and external) contact.

• BA, BBM degree

• Proficient in Excel – work with and write Macros

• Strong analytical skills

• Good organization and communication skills are essential, as the successful candidate will liaise with other departments and DB entities on customer exception claims

• Candidates should be ambitious and possess drive.

• Candidate should be looking to drive the business forward and continually challenge the current processes.

• Knowledge of Impact/ICI, and APPIX, applications is a plus
