Renewable Energy fund experiencing fantastic growth is now about to start fundraising for its second fund seeks an additional associate to join the team.

Our client is a team made up of passionate individuals with unrivalled experience of working with environmental companies.

Their missions is to:

• Specialise in the renewable energy, clean technologies and services sector
• Apply superior venture and private equity experience compared to the existing, often small, sector specialists
• Apply superior sector knowledge and networks compared to the generalist venture and private equity houses
• Leverage the technology skills and the resources of our Technology Partners
• Seek returns principally through growth rather than leverage.

The associate role will be responsible for the screening of business plans in all relevant sectors as well as conducting financial due dilligence on potential investments. A major part of the role will involve the commercial evaluation of potential deals, reviewing and evaluating the relevant markets and business models. You will be expected to build a strong market expertise in specific sectors.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• An excellent academic degree in business administration or similar
• Three to five years experience gained with either another PE fund; leading investment bank (leveraged finance); or a leading consulting firm.

In addition you will be:

• Internationally minded and consistently have ranked at the top of your peer group.
• Be fluent in another European language (advantageous)
• An excellent negotiator and communicator with an positive outlook.
