High profile opportunity to lead transactions focusing on relationship building, networking, and design and execution of customer strategies.
The Relationship Manager role requires a strong marketing and customer planning emphasis coupled with robust execution/structuring transactional skills exercised jointly with Relationship Credit professionals. Responsible for revenue generation initiatives across a broad suite of investment banking products, the growth emphasis is on a solution-based approach with the primary objective being our vision of “trusted advisor” status.

The role of the Relationship Manager is a high profile and challenging one that provides the opportunity to lead transactions that focus on relationship building, networking, and design and execution of customer strategies. The role demands the ability to translate our vision for Asia into creative and workable strategies.

Major Responsibilities ,

  • Undertake account management responsibilities for the portfolio assigned
  • Develop existing portfolio, acquire new customers and originate businesses, to augment a profitable business as an integral part of ANZ business strategy.
  • Achieving agreed customer revenue, risk adjusted income and total client return targets
  • Marketing to identified customers in co-ordination with product specialists
  • Identifying and targeting desired customers through the development of regional marketing and sales plans and strategies with product specialists
  • Driving cross product sales with an Investment Banking bias and delivering the CEO Agenda.
  • Assisting to develop industry sector strategies.
  • Playing a key role in building a strong, cohesive team in the Singapore office
  • Confidently communicating with Chief Executive Officers, Chief Financial Officers, Corporate Treasurers and Boards of clients to build relationships & trust.
  • Playing a leadership role in negotiations with clients and their advisers, and our internal stakeholders Shared responsibility for credit risk for client portfolio


Essential Skills

  • Excellent relationship building, interpersonal and listening skills.
  • A strong communicator who can communicate confidently and effectively and build rapport with senior executives internally within ANZ and externally with clients.
  • Good conceptual thinking skills Self-starter who is flexible, resourceful and ability to work effectively and under pressure.
  • Excellent PC skills, including knowledge at least intermediate level of Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • At least 8 years demonstrated experience in corporate and/or investment banking, with good client contacts in Singapore and strong track record
  • Demonstrated knowledge of complex financing, corporate finance structures and techniques
  • Credit risk assessment skills in structured, project and corporate financee
  • Good university degree qualified in Accounting/Finance/Business or related field
  • Strong linguistic abilities (spoken and written) in at least English and Mandarin
