Position: Electricity Financial Engineer - Fundamental Location: Willing to re-locate to the capital of Black Box trading CHICAGO Compensation: Competitive

Company Description: Our client is a growing proprietary trading firm focused on electronic trading. The environment is high energy and fast paced.

Requirements: Advanced education. 3+ years experience in analysis of electric power systems and markets. Expertise in modeling, analysis and valuation of energy related financial products including FTR. Deep understanding of the structure and rules of various US electricity markets. Familiarity with typical unit dispatches and transmission congestion patterns in the US. Proficiency in electricity market simulation tools including GE MAPS, PowerWorld, Dayzer and Tranzer. Solid knowledge of market economics and finance as well as power system engineering.

Duties: Develop and maintain generation and transmission models for the simulation of US electricity markets. Analyze and forecast electricity prices in MISO, PJM, NEPOOL, NYPP, ERCOT and WECC.
