Senior Financial Reporting Analyst

To meet these challenges, our client is seeking an ambitious financial reporting professional to join our accounting and finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in developing their skills in an aggressive, fast-paced and rapidly growing trading environment. Responsibilities:

  • Produce daily financial and P&L reports for the holding company and multiple subsidiaries, including unregulated professional trading groups, broker / dealer, and the UK-based Company.
  • Develop new and enhanced management reporting including graphs, tables, charts and ad-hoc reports for partners
  • Work with daily finance and accounting team to develop efficient methods of collecting, organizing and disseminating financial information to management, including profit and loss, capital usage, interest, fees and other operating expenses
  • Interface directly with operations staff to resolve daily balancing differences

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business required
  • 4-8 years progressive accounting or finance experience highly preferred
  • Must be highly proficient in Excel (should have experience with advanced features such as vlookups, pivot tables, complex formulas, macros, etc.)
  • Strong Microsoft Access skills preferred; Experience with Microsoft Great Plains and FRx report writer a plus
  • VBA development experience highly preferred
  • Experience in financial services industry preferred; experience working with futures and options trading highly preferred
  • Must be meticulous, detail oriented and organized
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment ; must be be willing to work outside of normal business hours as needed
  • Must have ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Must have exceptional analytical skills
  • Must have very strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
