The successful candidate will recommend new and innovative forestland investment strategies to improve returns and better manage risk, while acting as the internal subject matter expert in the forestland sector when consulting with CalPERS Managers, Executives, and Board Members. Requires a minimum of 5 years increasingly responsible experience performing analysis and portfolio management, and a bachelor's degree in any of the following: Business Administration; Economics; Finance; and, Mathematics or a closely related field. Qualifications in the forestry field (college degree or other) highly desireable, as well as CFA designation and/or MBA degree. Encumbent will participate in a performance compensation program that provides an opportunity to earn a performance award up to 15% of your annual base pay (target of 10%).
