Responsibilities

Moody's Credit Policy function promotes improvement and consistency in Moody's credit analysis. The group is divided into two units: (1) standing committees which focus on improving rating methodology and practices related to specific credit concerns; and (2) the Credit Policy Research team which conducts research on defaults, loss-given-default, and rating transitions, and develops quantitative tools to support ratings and analysis. The group reports to the Credit Policy Committee and is comprised of Moody's senior management team.

We are currently seeking an Associate Analyst within the Credit Policy Group. Individual will analyze structured products for 'equity credit' determination as well as implement Moody's Joint-Default Analysis methodology for determining credit ratings on Government-Related Issuers (GRIs). Individual will be responsible for the administrative aspects of Moody's Credit Policy function, which oversees rating monitoring and methodology development. Individual will frequently lead firm-wide and external communication efforts regarding the firm's credit policies and their rationale.
The individual's communication efforts will help coordinate across the firm our framework for credit analysis. Individual will coordinate meetings on timely credit risk topics for senior staff and will handle ad hoc projects as needed


Qualifications

Excellent communication skills, high level of organization and attention to detail. Ability to interact with all levels of management. Basic knowledge of finance, statistics, accounting, and economics. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications (including Access). Basic knowledge of SQL and web programming languages.
