Deloitte has the broadest and deepest range of skills of any professional services firm. Our goal is straightforward: To be recognised as the pre-eminent and most trusted professional services firm, famous for the calibre of our people and respected for the exceptional quality of our work. We are making great strides in this endeavour, recently ranked 6th in The Sunday Times Top 20 Big Companies to Work For 2007.
Our Consulting practice’s broad spectrum of service offerings enables us to provide high value business advice on a range of issues, from strategy to implementation., Deep industry expertise in a number of key market segments in both the private and public sectors ensures that our advice is tailored to our client’s needs. We provide consultancy services to some the strongest brand names globally, plus a variety of small and dynamic mid-market firms.
The Strategy practice enables clients to realise their potential by helping them envision their future, formulate and execute strategies. In doing so we address the full range of top management issues – from Portfolio Strategies, Market, Customer, and Channel Strategy and Revenue Enhancement to Business Model Transformation, New Business launch Merger & Acquisition Strategy and Investment Prioritisation. We combine these skills with deep industry knowledge to help our clients take business performance to new levels.
Today we are under-strength in strong Consumer Business (CB) experienced strategy skills. Developing a strong CB Strategy capability is of strategic importance to the UK CB industry and to the Strategy group itself – not just to create a resource pool to support other CB projects but to establish a more strongly Strategy-led CB practice. We plan both to recruit selectively and to cross train existing strategy resources in CB industry skills.
This specification focuses on the Manager role. We see these individuals playing a key role in client service delivery across the two major sub-sectors of the CB industry group:
We would also expect them to support specific business development / practice development initiatives across these same two sectors in a manner relevant to their respective seniorities and experience.
The ideal candidates will have backgrounds in a blue-chip strategy consultancy and relevant strategy-related experience in the industry. This should preferably include a strong aspect of customer / channel and revenue growth related strategy. The candidate is likely to already have a network of relationships in the industry.
The main focus will be CB – retail and consumer products - but the general strategy skills of the candidates should allow them to work effectively in other industry sectors.
