Job Description Overview
Calypso Technology is seeking a Financial Software Product Support Analyst to provide Applications Support to our clients. This is a tremendous opportunity to break into the financial services industry and/or continue to advance business, product and technical skills. This role has many elements in which business analysis skills are required.

Responsibilities
  • Interface directly with our clients to report, analyze and solve software issues. Collaborate with product team to ensure successful front, middle and/or back office software implementation
  • Correspond with I-Bank and Hedge Fund Business and Quantitative Analysts to investigate financial analytics discrepancies and refine specifications for financial model implementation.
  • Manage the lifecycle of client reported bugs – including replicating, reporting, providing test cases, scheduling for upcoming patches and if required, ‘hotfixing’ the bug fix to the client.
  • Work closely with both our Product Management and Engineering teams to ensure inclusion of enhancements requested by clients in the software and ensure delivery
  • Attain and maintain subject matter expertise in an asset class and associated market trends by monitoring current industry research publications
  • Develop diversity of technical skills and be able to shift functions to relieve possible bottlenecks in the development cycle to ensure contractual deliveries are met
  • Advocate for product feature enhancements
  • Provided day-to-day support for ‘best-practices’.
  • Maintain the code branch the most closely reflects the one implemented at the client site.


Skills & Requirements:
  • Master in Business/Finance or Technical field
  • Preferred: 1 to 2 years working experience working within the banking/financial industry
  • A solid understanding of financial products like fixed income securities, foreign exchange, commodities, or derivatives is a must
  • Customer Relationship Management Skills
  • Qualitative Analysis Skills
  • Business Analysis Skills
  • Strong Mathematical or Analytical Background
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must be a fast learner, self-motivated, team player, and collaborator
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential
  • Background in development is a plus.
