Job Description Overview
Calypso Technology is seeking a Pre-Sales Market Specialist with direct work experience in Equity Derivatives. The Market Specialist will have in-depth, hands on involvement in client/prospect presentations to articulate the value-proposition of the Calypso product as it relates to their specific market and manage numerous projects ranging from business development initiatives to implementation and system evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Become the resident subject matter expert within Equity Derivatives and extend that knowledge base through the sales and customer support organization
• Work with the Calypso Professional Services organization in achieving “Proof of Concept” demonstrations during the sales cycle
• Translate new business requirements obtained in the market into functional specifications as needed
• Understand and stay current on key business requirements of the market
• Perform customer requirements analysis
• Present tailored solutions to satisfy customers needs

Skills & Requirements:

• 5 + years of industry experience.
• Detailed knowledge of one of the following: Equity Derivatives
• Strong ability to map conceptual financial and business elements to practical system capabilities
• Understand the competitive offering landscape in one of the above asset classes and be able to show Calypso’s unique value proposition
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. The person in this role will spend significant amounts of time working hands-on with customers. Verbal and presentation skills are critically important
• Willingness and ability to travel as required
• Previous software company experience will be highly valued. In particular, previous experience with designing or selling trade processing and/or front or back office systems is very desirable
