One of the world’s largest global custodians has an outstanding opportunity that has been created due to continuous growth of revenues. The role is EMEA Head of Segment Planning, Strategy, Executions and sits in the Investor Services Segment Management group.
The Investor Services Segment Management group in EMEA oversees annualised securities servicing revenues of $1.5 billion with bottom line of growth of 14% per annum.

The group is responsible for developing the business strategy for key market segments on a regional basis, managing all aspects of the banks commercial relationship with institutional customers including business retention and growth, client satisfaction and service customisation design and delivery.

The group comprises of circa 550 people distributed throughout segment management, business development, client service, deal management and business implementation functions. Within this group, the Segment Planning, Strategy and Execution group has a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient daily operation of the whole team located in various sites throughout Europe.

As Head of Segment Planning, Strategy and Execution the role encompasses the following activities:

1. Business Process & Financial Management - Driving and oversight of all group operational policies and procedures including deal reviews, vulnerable client meetings, competitor reviews, relationship planning, segment reviews and sales planning - Group wide resource, expense, headcount, human resources activities and group recruitment process management - Financial/sales planning management - Ongoing change management projects - Sales training programme management - Contingency planning - Direct management of sales support teams

2. Segment Analysis and Planning Responsible for providing support to Asset Managers, Insurance and Pensions segment teams. Core responsibilities are to ensure consistency in approach re data collection, review, presentation and analysis. Collation and analysis of key financial metrics for the team including client revenues, segment revenues, product revenues, associated direct and indirect costs. Also supports associated formal feedback sessions with product companies and drives with investment initiative process.

3. Sales Analysis and Planning Responsible for all of the processes and procedures related to identifying, prosecuting and implementing new/incremental sales opportunities. Also maintains detailed data (financials, products, external surveys etc) on all 650 clients and industry segments. In addition, the team is responsible for maintaining the groups' CRM/sales tracking database and for the production of monthly business reporting, sales statistics/forecasts and key management metrics.

4. RFP Team Responsible for a team of 6 RFP writers dedicated to the production of all Securities Company RFPs and associated sales presentations. Also provides support to other sales teams in the group who require RFP skill sets and works closely with sales and client management teams throughout the sales process.

5. Client Documentation Team A team of 4 legal professionals based in London and Dublin responsible for negotiating standard custody, fund accounting and securities lending documentation with clients and their advisors.
