Position Description:

Wellington Management is one of America's largest investment management firms. The company is headquartered in Boston with ten affiliate offices around the world. With approximately $588 billion in assets under management, Wellington manages US, international and global equity, fixed income and multi-asset portfolios for institutional clients and mutual fund sponsors in over forty countries.

The Relationship Analyst (RA) will work closely with and support Relationship Managers on a variety of client relationships. The successful Analyst will understand each client's long term investment objectives and policy issues and bring the resources of the organization to bear on behalf of the client, with the goal of delivering a level of service that will exceed the client's expectations and position Wellington Management as the partner of choice. The RA will have frequent interaction with the client and be expected to conduct analysis, initiate investigations, and respond to inquiries on a wide variety of topics, often under significant time pressure. Incorporating product knowledge with firm awareness, the RA will be required to effectively communicate with internal constituents and act to ensure that functions within the firm have a sound understanding of both the client's expectations and local market conventions. Some travel may be required.

Specific responsibilities include the following:
  • Preparing-for, attending, and following-up on client meetings and inquiries,
  • Supporting the RM in cross-selling activity,
  • Coordinating new account set-ups/transitions, including being involved in negotiations on guidelines and other legal agreements,
  • Analyze performance data, investment characteristics, and risk profiles of client portfolios,
  • Ensuring compliance with client guidelines and applicable regulations,
  • Preparing standard and/or customized client reports,
  • Working on assigned client projects.
  • Assisting in and reviewing Chinese translation, both written and spoken as it relates to client materials and meetings
