Credit data is one of Markit’s core data products and the team is responsible for the analytics and operations related to a wide array of fixed income and credit product areas which include: bonds, CDS, credit indices, tranches, loans and loan CDS.

Duties and Accountabilities

Combining high-level analytical skills with knowledge of fixed income and credit markets, a successful candidate will:

  • Conduct analytics on large and diverse derivative pricing datasets
  • Aid in the generation of research reports
  • Provide secondary level of support to all client institutions
  • Interact with clients and contributors to develop and maintain strong relationships
  • Identify opportunities to maintain and improve the operational efficiencies of the data collection, processing and reporting framework
  • Support the development of new data products

Business Competencies

  • A minimum of an undergraduate degree in finance, economics or mathematics
  • A high level of proficiency in Excel. VBA and SQL experience are desirable.
  • A strong interest in pursuing a career in finance
  • Knowledge of syndicated loans, credit derivatives and documentation practices is a plus

  • Customer service and satisfaction are key priorities for the firm.
