Top mid market fund is looking to add an Investment Director, who will have a Restructuring or Turnaround background
Our client has an enviable track record in successfully acquiring companies in it's chosen market sectors, driving organic and acquisitive growth through a targeted "buy and build" strategy and delivering shareholder value via refinancing and/or IPO, trade sale or secondary buy-out.

Working alone or as part of a larger team, you will provide transactional corporate finance advice to investee companies and shareholders. Your prime responsibilities will include leading negotiations and/or project management as principal, or managing a variety of other external advisers, to deliver acquisitions, refinancings and exits via IPO, trade sale or secondary buy-outs.

Their senior executives work with investee companies from the inception of a transaction through to exit; however, our client operates a flat management structure where a high degree of autonomy and delegated individual responsibility is required.

The role will be high impact and the chosen candidate will need to demonstrate the following attributes/experience:

- Dynamic, energetic individual - clear thinking under time pressure, whilst conducting multiple assignments - excellent communication skills - gravitas at a senior level - ability to work through problems/issues to workable solutions - attention to detail - at ease working alone without supervision or as part of a team as either 'lead' or 'support' executive - good negotiation/persuasion skills - professional approach and attitude - excellent financial numeracy and appropriate modelling skills

Educated to degree level (and/or professional qualification) the candidate will have a proven track record within corporate restructuring or business turnaround. This might have come from an accounting firm, a corporate role where restructuring or turnaround issues have been addressed, or a strategy consultany firm.
