Equity Volatility
Responsibilities:

Daily p/l and position review and formulating risk based explanations to significant changes.

Analyze Operations and P&L related statistics to identify control gaps and/process break-downs

Reviewing policies and methodologies to ensure that they are adequately addressing current business risk profile.

Establish Control policies and standards for all Front to Back controls

Conducting review and controls around transactions booked including front to back controls

Liaise with the trading desk to discuss front to back control gaps, providing and implementing improvements

Conducting analysis in risk and p/l impact and providing commentary to senior management

Qualifications:

Relevant experience of 10-15 yrs (e.g. Valuation Control, Product Control).

Good understanding of equity derivatives products

Managerial and leadership skills; detail oriented and strong organizational skills

Sound knowledge in control and in depth understanding of broker dealer’s processes and systems

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain issues in a systematic and logical manner. Also, be able to communicate to people of different levels.

Independent self-starter to identify problems and issues, and drive to resolve issues down to the root cause

Strong team player; ability to work across functional and organizational boundaries and build business relationships
