OverviewBGI has developed a strong franchise in Latin America and is looking to hire a Product Manger to work closely with the LATAM COO & New Markets Head. The product Manager will work and partner with Managing Directors across BGI global product development groups, portfolio managers and sales teams. The ideal candidate will help manage a fast growing ETF/investment business in the Latin American region to design new products that will provide alternative sources of revenue growth. In addition they will be responsible for creating and pitching business plans for new products to senior management, as well as manage products through their respective life cycles. This position will be based in San Francisco and will report into the Latin America COO and New Markets Head.
ResponsibilitiesNew product development focused in Latin America Implement market research to identify new product opportunities while understanding local and regional investment practices and regulations. Develop ideas and business plans for new products to serve the fast growing ETF/investment market in the LATAM Region. Will be responsible for presenting strategies and financial impact to senior management. Manage product development teams consistent with in-house processes and external resources beginning from specification, to development, and ultimately new product roll out and maintenance. Take responsibility for all aspects of product offerings including features, price and positioning. Monitor competitive developments and develop strategic responses. Develop yearly sales forecasts and business plans and track performance throughout the year. Educate sales force about products at team meetings and product road shows. Assist in development of external distribution of external distribution channels and 3rd party licensing agreements. Represent BGI at client meetings, meetings with authorities company sponsored events and third party conferences. Develop materials and lead product related road shows.
Requirements
Bachelors and MBA or equivalent degree with 5-7 years of relevant experience Experience structuring solutions for institutional clients, and working with a blue chip investment bank and/or asset managers Qualified candidates must have previous Latin American experience (ie structuring derivatives for LATAM clients). Command and fluency (speaking, reading, writing) of Spanish is a must, Portuguese advantageous Strong technical, qualitative and quantitative skills Candidate must have previous demonstrated strategic thinking capabilities, Strong understanding of LATAM investment practices a must, understanding of the ETF market valuable Strong verbal and written skills, as well as high level of confidence interacting with senior business professionals Ability to work independently and in a team environment
