A Leading Financial Institution is looking for a Front Office Application Support/Developer with between 3-5 years experience, to join their IT Commodities team. This team is responsible for the support and development of all IT applications utilized by the Commodities business.

A Leading Financial Institution is looking for a Front Office Application Support/Developer with between 3-5 years experience, to join their IT Commodities team. This team is responsible for the support and development of all IT applications utilized by the Commodities business. The primary roles in the department include developer, business analyst, infrastructure specialist, support analyst and project manager, so this role is ideal for someone that is looking for scope and the opportunity to learn new skills and expand and utilise their existing skills. Key aspects of the role include: •Perform business analysis activities focused on Front Office and/or Risk areas •Support and create existing risk and P&L systems/reports in VBA and C# including market data tools •Willingness to learn new languages like AVS •Support/develop new trading/pricing tools •Work in a fast and dynamic environment •May require limited weekend, holiday working and travel In terms of required skills, the successful candidate will be expected to have the following credentials: •Masters Degree in Computer Science and/or Engineering •3-5 years in VBA/C# Trading Systems experience •3-5 years of basic Oracle experience •SQL experience a must •1-2 years C++ experience •Unix / Multi-Threading / GUI Experience / Perl/Python experience would be beneficial •MS Excel/Access •Must understand basic market data dependencies, yield curve construction, interpolation, discount factors and other valuation related concepts •Basic knowledge of Swaps, Swaptions, Options, listed and OTC •Proven ability to work under pressure. It is expected that you will have first class communication and interpersonal skills, be flexible, and have proven ability working under pressure.
