Proskauer Rose LLP, one the nation’s oldest law firms, provides top tier legal services to a broad range of clients across the globe. We currently have an opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join our dynamic Finance team in our New York Headquarters.

 A successful candidate for this role will be expected to: 

• Produce sophisticated financial analyses of profitability (e.g., product line, business unit, office, practice areas, client) using both established and new, creative approaches

• Make recommendations, supported by data, about how to enhance firm profitability

• Prepare financial analyses that will allow the firm to fully evaluate potential laterals

• Produce analyses and recommendations in support of the budget process

• Write queries on an adhoc basis to satisfy requests for specific data

• Extract data billing system tables to create periodic (monthly, quarterly, annual) reports for management

• Tax return analysis and preparation

We would prefer to invite candidates with the following skills to apply:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant analytical work (e.g., creation of and extraction from database(s), creation of reports on a adhoc basis and working with data warehouses)

• Sophisticated use of Access and Excel (vertical lookups, macros, pivot tables, etc.)

• Accounting, Finance or related undergraduate degree, plus MBA or CPA

• Experience with Elite preferable, including in depth knowledge of tables

• Strong written and oral communications skills

• Ability to set priorities and manage multiple deadlines
