The Data & Investment Performances Services is in charge of the administration & management of the key systems of reference for our company.

The Data & Investment Performances Services is in charge of the administration & management of the key systems of reference for our company:

- Portfolios and Products Database

- Clients and Counterparties Database

- Transactionnal Database (Assets and Clients Transactions)

- Securities and Assets Database

- Performance Database

The Data Management team takes over the following tasks :  

- Analysis and specification of the data storage

- General administration : Relationship with the suppliers, quality control

- Data delivery to each of the business sections of Axa IM (users systems, reporting)

- Internal client service : daily support

As part of the Data Management Team, the Business Data Analyst – Index administrates the Financial Markets data for the Front Office (more than 400 indexes, financial characteristics equities, fixed income and exchange rates).

Reporting to the Head of Investment Data, you will assist the Index Team with the centralized administration of the Markets data, fixed income and equities index. Your main responsibilities will be the following:

• Analysis and specification of the data storage

- Gathering of the users’ needs

- Drafting and update of the users and organizational processes

- Promotion and communication of the modifications to the Business teams

- Involvement in the testing sessions for the index management on a new tool (ie: Smartco)

• General administration : Relationship with the suppliers, quality control

- Markets Data Administration for the Front Office: index components for the equities and fixed income Market (more than 400 indexes), financial specificities for equities (ie PER) and fixed income (ie duration)

- Extracts of index components and financial specificities from several index providers (about 10 suppliers)

- Analysis and amendments of mistakes coming from the providers (wrong corporate actions, missing accrued interest…) – reconstitution of the stock market capitalization and of the aggregate performances detailed by sector

- Feeding of the Database for the Front Office (Funds Managers)

- Study of different indexes methodologies to manage new indexes

- Adjustment to the internal Front-Office tools so as to homogenise the stored data

- Settlement of new interfaces and of quality controlling tools

- Setting up of a process improving the quality of stored data

- Involvement on the Market Data projects: ie index structures

- Improvement of the data administration processes

- Creation and implementation of statistical and tendencies performance indicators

- Settlement and follow-up of reporting devices on market index.

- Splitting of the indexes by sectors with financial ratios

- Contribution to the requests for proposals

• Data delivery to each of the business sections of Axa IM (users systems, reporting)

- Data Export

- Creation and analysis of key performance indicators  (KPI’s)

What sort of profile are we looking for:

• Proficiency in both engineering (computer & mathematical) and Financial Markets gained through related studies

• Advanced Excel and Access

• Good knowledge of VB and SQL – Database logic

• Fluent in French and English

• Reliable, well organised, autonomous and client oriented with a good Team Spirit

• Good communication skills
