Senior Account Manager – Real Estate

Departmental Overview:

Within the Account Management Group (AMG) we pride ourselves on working with clients around the globe to develop solutions to meet their investment goals. Specific teams such as Alternative Investments, Cash Management, Financial Institutions, Global Consultant Relations, International, Private Client, Pension/Tax-Exempt and Wealth Management are dedicated to different types of clients to better understand their needs and to deliver excellent service by anticipating these needs.

Role Description:

The role of the Account Management Group (AMG) is to act as primary contact between BlackRock and our client base. As a leader within AMG, you will be expected to develop a deep understanding of your client’s mandates and provide a high quality service to our Real Estate clients. You will be identified within BlackRock as the focal point for all issues relating to your clients and will be responsible for coordinating the activities of other departments in the resolution of any client issues.

The role encompasses a mixture of business development and account management. The successful applicant will play a role within the existing team which manages client relationships from initial sales effort for the subsequent life of the relationship. The role will involve daily client contact and business development.

Responsibilities:

  • Marketing, sales, relationship management for Real Estate clients
  • Review all reports and presentation materials; Advise on solving of tasks (operations, compliance, administration, etc.) and meeting coordination.
  • Development of product ideas for existing Real Estate Clients
  • Present and discuss BlackRock Realty’s research capabilities, products and services as a significant industry differentiator
  • Supervision of termination/ launch of portfolios
  • Delivery of market news to the Real Estate clients
  • Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree, MBA preferred
  • Real Estate Fund Management Experience with client service experience
  • Experience with all real estate asset classes useful
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a keen interest in the Business Development/Sales
  • Background in investment consulting or real estate investment management essential
  • Business development experience with cross selling abilities
  • Understanding client needs, and the ability to tailor the message to the level of the client
  • Committed to process development and improvement
  • Personality and cultural fit; great interpersonal skills, strong team player
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn both on and off the job
  • Ability to motivate and work independently with minimal supervision to produce quality results
  • Good team effectiveness skills
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of management up through CEO
