This company has traded in China since 1885. Today, it is one of the leading foreign investors in the Chinese chemical industry and employs over 5,500 people here. The company currently operates 29 wholly owned subsidiaries and 9 joint ventures in Greater China. In order to stay in tune with local markets, the company maintains 6 offices in Beijing, Nanjing, Qingdao and Chengdu, and two branches in Shanghai and Guangzhou. Starting its first subsidiary in Hong Kong, the China Ltd., in 1982, this company is responsible for sales, marketing and distribution of imported and locally manufactured products in Hong Kong and China.
Responsibilities:
• Exert corporate governance over the Mainland China entities for Treasury issues
• Implement Company Group Policy and Guideline
• Arrange the Financing activities, e.g. shareholder loan, banking financing, trade financing, etc.
• Analyze, manage and anticipate the exchange risk on currencies, propose and execute appropriate hedging operations with financial institutions.
• Conduct cash management to improve the efficiency of the group liquidity
• Manage the internal and external flows, consolidate and analyze monthly cash flow forecasting
• Ensure that cash forecasting tools and capability are sufficient in the region to manage at very low excess cash levels
• Familiar with SAFE/PBOC/Tax/Customs regulations and MOFCOM processes
• Develop relationship with the banks
• Support any special project needs like capital investment, acquisitions, etc.
Right Candidate:
The company is looking for a candidate with 8 years MNC treasury/credit mgmt or related banking experience, full knowledge of finance related local compliance regulations and strong communication skills. The candidate must have good team spirit and be able to work independently with a high level of attention to details. Further requirements are:
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin
- Excellent written and speaking skills
- Energetic, forward-thinking and creative
- CPA preferred
