This major Australian banking giant has committed to a large scale system replacement project within their Institutional Banking business. The project will deliver major efficiency gains across the front, middle and back office functions within a global framework.

As a result a new position has been created for a Project Manager to lead the finance stream implementation of a front to back trading platform. Reporting to the Head of Product Control, this role is vital to the business transformation that will occur and specifically the successful rollout of the system across the finance and product control function.

Your key result areas will include:

• Drive initiative at a senior level and effectively manage global stakeholders across both Finance, IT, Front Office and Operations.
• Planning and effectively delivering outcomes for the Finance users of the system.
• Tracking progress on the resolution of Finance issues and escalating where required.
• Ensuring all Finance related system configuration changes are implemented in line with agreed and approved change management protocols and procedures.
• Ensuring adequate documentation of the Finance configuration of the system is maintained.

Suitable candidates will demonstrate a strong Product Control background with at least two years project management experience and have ideally lead a systems implementation within finance (either a Murex, Calypso, Wall St package etc). Strong product knowledge is mandatory and specific exposure across FX & Money Markets will be highly regarded.

You will be an experienced Project Manager with outstanding communication and negotiation skills. Your ability to communicate effectively, ideas and solutions to business heads across IT, Finance and Front Office, as well as demonstrated ability in delivering projects within strict timeframes will see you excel in this role.
