Our Client is a recognizable brand name with a strong presence in the world’s major financial center. They are committed to growing their Asia Pac presence starting with Singapore as the Asia Pacific headquarters.
You will play a critical role in the financial reporting processes (including statutory reporting and regulatory reporting) of the legal entities within the Group regionally. This will require a rigorous understanding of the accounting standards (FRS, IAS etc) and their applications in the context of the bank. A strong understanding of investment banking products such as rates, fixed income, FX/MM and derivative products is highly desirable. You will also be expected to participate in the implementation of key initiatives that relate to system/ workflow enhancements, accounting changes and centralisation of the reporting processes.
To qualify, you should be degree qualified from the discipline of Accountancy with at least 2 years of post-qualification financial control (head office reporting, regulatory reporting, statutory reporting) experience in a global banking environment OR 3-5 years of audit experience in a big 4 practice with a heavy focus on banking clients. You should also be well-versed in the understanding and application of IAS, UK GAAP or US GAAP and control principles. You should also be a proactive team player with a demonstrated track record of leadership abilities and thrives in a global and cosmopolitan environment.
