Key Responsibilities

• Design strategy, manage processes and select technologies to ensure sufficient assessment controls are in place to detect software vulnerabilities across Barclays
• Oversee the development and selection of tools, techniques and unique capabilities which enhance ability to scan and assess  global application estate.
• Manage client stakeholders from across the platforms, networks and global environments under which binary testing services are provided.
• Respond to global security events.
• Design and consult on the delivery of binary testing and other application security assurance programs and initiatives.
• Provide general advice and guidance on IT security related matters as and when required.
• Provision of ‘out of hours’ support and investigation as and when required

Pre –Requisites

• Excellent understanding of security techniques and technologies including Intrusion Detection, Threat Analysis and Binary Analysis
• Excellent vulnerability assessment knowledge and in-depth knowledge of application development and programming.
• Strong understanding of the security mechanisms associated with Windows or Unix operating systems, switched networks, applications and databases.
• Experience responding to vulnerability incidents at an enterprise level.
• Experienced at implementing risk management processes and tools.
• Can describe alternative problem-solving
