Investment Officers cultivate client relationships, establish investment policy, implement custom investment plans, monitor manager conduct and communicate regularly with their clients on the progress of each investment program.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Investment Officers establish investment policy, implement custom investment plans, monitor manager conduct and communicate regularly with their clients on the progress of each investment program. The Investment Officer (IO) will focus on prospecting and developing new clients for Hirtle Callaghan, concentrating his/her efforts regionally. The IO will identify, screen, contact and cultivate client relationships with both high net worth private clients (individuals and family groups) and institutional clients (foundations, endowments and pension funds). The IO will work with existing Hirtle Callaghan professionals to manage new client relationships.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Generate new client pool to be served by Hirtle Callaghan's regional office; perform all aspects of prospecting to develop and close new business.

Manage new client accounts by drafting and implementing investment plans, conducting planning meetings and reviews, and managing client relationships.

Articulate investment concepts and processes to audiences with widely varying levels of investment knowledge.

Identifying leads, gain appointments and close business with high net worth taxable and non-taxable clients.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

An undergraduate degree is required; advanced degree (i.e., MBA) or certifications (i.e., CFA or CPA) strongly desired. Candidates should have four or more years of successful prospecting and client development experience (preferably with high net worth private clients) in brokerage, private banking, investment management marketing, or investment consulting The IO must possess superlative prospecting skills accompanied by a high investment aptitude and the interpersonal skills for client management.

Familiarity with MS Office applications and ability to utilize on-line reporting systems
