The primary target audience will be Registered Investment Advisers including large asset managers, wealth managers, family offices and financial planners in the Pacific Northwest region, which includes Northern California (including San Francisco Bay Area), OR, WA, AK and HI.

This position reports to the Head of the Registered Investment Adviser channel. Candidates need to live in their territory. Expectations will be to effectively manage the territory in order to exceed personal and team sales goals.
 

Job Responsibilities

This Business Development Officer serves as the central point of contact in the Pacific Northwest region for the US-IIB RIA Channel. As a member of the team, a BDO will:

• Exceed sales goals for assigned territory.
• Call on RIA’s in order to support and grow their business through the use of iShares.
• Deliver sales presentations, seminars and meetings with RIA’s.
• Report weekly activities and accomplishments.
• Manage budget to maximize time and resources.
• Manage all conference activity and speaking engagements within the region.
• Work with Business Development Associate and Regional Sales Associate to maximize territory sales coverage.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required
• MBA degree or CFA, CFP, CIMA certification desirable.
• NASD series 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses required.
• Ability to develop relationships with RIA’s and deliver ideas and information that will generate sales and assets.
• 8-10 years outside sales experience with mutual fund, separate account or hedge fund.
• Extensive knowledge of the Northwest metropolitan regions.
• Possess existing sales relationships with RIA’s and large ($1bn+ AUM) asset managers.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Sales presentation skills.
• High energy, motivated individual, commitment to excellence.
• Ability to work in a team environment is critical.
• Reside in the territory.
• Clean compliance record required.
• Clean U-4.
