Small but fast growing and leading edge software vendor with a global footprint within the investment banking and securities industry, is looking to strengthen it’s African operation by appointing a head of sales for the region. This strong sales leader will develop and drive the direct and indirect sales and marketing strategy, build a sales team and generally play a key regional management role in helping this company take themselves to ‘the next level’ as part of their ambitious global growth plans.
Appropriate candidates will have:
• A proven sales track record throughout their career - both individually and as a manager, selling software solutions to financial institutions (doesn’t matter if retail banking, investment banking or fund management focussed).
• Experience and success managing sales teams would be preferred (Sales Manager, Sales Director, Managing Director or Country Manager type role). However suitable senior sales professionals ready to develop their career into a sales leadership role will be considered.
• Must be from or have extensive experience selling in Africa. My client is willing to relocate the right individual into the region.
• On a personal level must capable of developing strategic sales and marketing plans, be able to demonstrate an excellent sales leadership ability and have the personal motivation to contribute to an entrepreneurial team culture.
