At this hedge fund, members of the internal business development team interact with a wide variety of groups across the company. The team's goal is to  identify, analyze and facilitate the launch of new business initiatives.  Typical duties include evaluating, structuring, negotiating, and managing  the execution of acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and minority interest investments opportunities across the firm.

The private equity analyst would work with management to identify, scope and execute new business initiatives through their early launch phases.

Prior experience in private equity is a MUST!

Candidates with a bachelor's degree in economics/business or a hard science, quantitative or engineering program from a top university and 1-2 years post-undergraduate work experience will be considered.

Key requirements for this role include: a strong work ethic; excellent (oral and written) communication and presentation skills; and robust excel and modeling skills. We are looking for a quick study with a trained problem solving ability.

Desirable backgrounds could include:  currently doing private equity work at a investment bank or from a hedge fund.
