Position Summary:-
To participate in audits as team member/lead a standard audit job as in-charge and ensure the following:
- High standard of quality audits is conducted through understanding of business and risks, proper identification of issues, clear communication of issues to the auditees at close-out meetings and effective cost management (audit costs).
- Provide practical recommendations to management in enhancing the control environment within the business.
- Effectively and efficiently manage audit portfolios.
- Effectively and efficiently multiple tasks/jobs.
- Developing staff both technically and personally.
- Handling conflict management on a tactical basis.
- Overall quality of work performed by staff is of a high standard.
- Dimension audit findings and perform regional benchmarking of issues.
- Working papers/audit reports are produced timely with minimal changes and that these are properly signed off in Auto Audit.
- KPIs are met for the audit job.
- Updating the SAMs on audit status and issues on a timely basis.
- High standard of quality of audits is concluded through understanding of business and risks, proper identification of issues and effective cost management (audit costs).
- Clear and concise presentation of issues/risks. Assess and support the implementation of the new value-based audit methodology.
Requirements:-
- CPA/CA, CFA, FRM, Series 7
- Prior experience in Audit, Compliance or Risk Management a plus.
- Investment product familiarity is essential.
- Ability to work well in a cooperative, high energy, matrix managed business a necessity.
- Risk and control mindset with exceptional understanding of investment process design.
- Highly motivated and able to work on own initiative.
- Ability to interact and influence other professionals within the business, many of whom will be peers.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ideal candidate will have 5-10 years experience of audit or business process management in financial services.
