We seek individuals who are motivated, organised, team-oriented Generalists/Product Specialists to provide assistance in account generation and maintenance. Our objective is to ensure that our clients are able to achieve their goals and objectives using the Moody's suite of products & services and continue the firm's rapidly growing customer base. As a Sales Generalist you will be required to deliver on sales targets through a combination of prospecting for new clients as well as selling additional services to existing clients. You will manage the sales cycles to closure and when client requirements have been identified, you will formulate a proposal and present it to senior members of the organisation. Moody's Analytics sales force is organised to emphasise a team sales culture. Generalists may call upon product and solutions specialists to assist in presenting products, benefits, and solutions in client meetings. You will foster relationships covering a defined territory and base of business, whilst conveying the Moody's Analytics value proposition.
Responsibilities
As a Product Specialist you will be responsible for the development of business from your respective territories and products. Working closely with the Generalist staff, you will manage and drive the sales process through the sales cycle with particular emphasis on the value proposition. As a Product Specialist you are expected to be the market and product expert, helping to ensure that the sales process runs smoothly. You will be involved in working successfully with external clients to identify operational, financial and strategic objectives and transform prospective and existing customers into dedicated clients.
Experience
*Extensive sales experience preferably within the financial services sector and to be able to demonstrate a proven track record of targeted sales capability. *Experience of working with credit risk measurement and management solutions is desirable. Ideally be from a banking, asset management, insurance, capital markets or corporate background. * Fluency (both written and verbal) in a second European language would be highly desirable, especially Italian. * Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, and able to confidently present/ engage with clients and develop rapport over the telephone. * Excellent time management/organisational skills. Able to multi task and adhere to short deadlines. * Creative problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose issues and develop solutions. * Must be able to work within a team, to harness knowledge/market intelligence and internal skills to assist with prospecting new sales/closing of sales cycle. * Must be able to work and travel across EMEA region.
Qualifications
* Must be degree educated (or equivalent), preferably gained in a Finance related discipline.
Languages
* Fluency in 1 or more European languages as well as English would be highly desirable.
