Purpose of the role Increase hit rate of the sales efforts through correct positioning of our clients product offering in the pre-sales cycle focusing on the key criteria of the prospect/client and leverage against competitors by understanding their weaknesses and monitoring their activity

Academic and Professional Qualifications

  • Degree educated

Experience

  • At least 2-3 years of relevant banking experience, preferable in capital markets or related activity e.g. consulting to the banking industry
  • Been involved in the selection and implementation of a banking solution within a financial institution is a distinct advantage
  • Experience in financial service software consulting or pre-sales support
  • Strong financial mathematical and statistics background
  • Strong knowledge of financial products in particular Derivatives, Credit, Fixed Income, FX
  • Strong knowledge of risk management and financial modelling (financial engineer)
  • Strong Knowledge of the risk management measures such as hedge sensitivity, Value at Risk, PFE
  • Strong knowledge of the market and credit limits
  • Programming in MS Excel using VBA scripting and macros 
  • Ideal candidates will have superior troubleshooting skills, excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams geared to individuals who are good in multi-task.

Travel Requirements

Intensive travel within the region as well as overseas

  • Amount of requests from the sales staff to have her/him involved in sales campaigns

• Preparation of RFI/RFPs to assure the products / modules are presented according to the key criteria of the prospect/client

• Advice on best practice and technology, mentoring and advising throughout all phases of the sales cycle to ensure world class solution selection

• Collaborate with sales representatives throughout the lifecycle of the sales campaign, including exploratory meetings, demonstrations, workshops, and gap analysis to assure consistency of messages.
