Operating in the Group Finance function the post-holder will be responsible for supporting the Medium Term Plan (MTP) and Business Performance Reviews work closely with the business units to establish expectations around their future and in-year performance

The role will also demand the following:

- Building analytical tools to support MTP Reports and Deliverables

- Liaising with Cluster Finance teams to co-ordinate the MTP process and resolve process and content issues

- Managing the BPM relationship for one cluster including developing an in-depth understanding of drivers of value and performance over time

- Providing insightful analysis around key business drivers, KPIs and one off items versus underlying drivers of income generation particularly balances and margins

- Qualitative and quantitative variance analysis of performance versus prior year and budget, both actuals and forecast

- Assisting in the preparation of the six monthly competitors report. Help produce and manage production of key outputs

- Developing insights into our performance versus competitors through understanding of key business drivers and results

- Presenting areas of the MI presentation pack for the CFO

Experience & Expertise
• Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA or equivalent).

• A strong academic background is essential

• Proven track record within management accountancy and/ or finance analysis within a bank and/ or large blue-chip company

• Strong Modelling Skills

• Senior Stakeholder Management

• Strong communication skills, a drive for results and ability/ confidence to deal with very Senior (Snr) Management

• Strong Excel Skills
