Key Responsibilities
- Participate in and manage the production of the monthly financial reports and HKMA returns, and ensure that reporting requirements and deadlines are met
- Contribute to and participate in finance projects and initiatives
- Address reporting issues or irregularities arising from banking systems with relevant business units, operational departments and IT teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data
Requirements
- Qualified accountant with at least 5-8 years working experience, preferably with knowledge of bank accounting and financial reporting. Candidates with less experience will be considered for the role of Assistant Manager, Financial Control & Reporting
- Good Excel spreadsheet skills
- Experience in advising internal customers on accounting/reporting treatment
- Able to work independently and as part of a team under pressure and against tight deadlines
- Excellent written and oral English language skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Solution-oriented mindset and proactive approach to driving change and innovation
- Sound knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
