Primary Responsibilities:
The Business Development Associate serves as the central point of contact for a 3 person team. As a member of the team, a BDA will:
• Make outbound phone calls to prospective and existing clients to provide customized solutions
• Develop and grow advisor relationships with a specified segment of the territory’s advisors
• Work directly with BDO partner to create meetings with advisors and perform follow up activity through needs-based profiling
• Deliver in person presentations to large audiences and field questions and objections
• Travel independently to meet directly with financial advisors and conduct client meetings
• Prepare comprehensive and customized data analysis
• Promote attendance and attend BGI roadshows and conferences
• Work with BDO and RSA partners to maximize territory sales coverage
• Travel with BDO approximately one week per quarter
• Exchange sales ideas with other channels within US IIB Group
Qualifications:
• BA/BS degree required
• 2+ years of experience in mutual fund or brokerage industry required
• NASD Series 7, and 63 required
• Ability to develop relationships with Advisors and deliver ideas and information that will generate sales and assets
• High energy, motivated individual
• Commitment to excellence
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and web-based technology
• Strong character references
• Clean compliance record
