Working closely with Senior Management you will establish best practice risk management strategies and embed a proactive approach to management of risks within the organisation.

You will participate in the risk review/assessment in new business opportunities and make required recommendations, identifying the organisations risk profile and potential methods of mitigation or solutions to management, giving special attention to the maintenance and enhancement of the high profile enjoyed by the organisation.

You will maintain (and, where appropriate) establish excellent relationships with Insurance companies with whom the organisation does business, evaluating and identifying the organisation’s insurance.

You will identify risk factors, analyze insurance coverage and premiums rates, and participate in negotiations regarding premiums and deductibles to ensure the organisations interests are protected. You will also assist in the maintenance and upkeep of department policies and procedures to ensure continued accreditation with outside institutions (e.g. ISO) and ensure complete transparency.

There are limited policies or procedures in existence and limited operational guidance. You must have the ability to prepare and recommend all requisite policies/procedures to ensure the effectiveness of this function.

You will have experience of a risk management / insurance background or with relevant generalist risk management skills from financial services, general insurance or regulatory bodies. You must have exceptional communication skills and the ability to coach and influence others at all levels.
